I would like to have your impression about the Moscow School of
Political Studies.
I have worked and I have given lectures here every year since it began in
1993. I am almost one of the founders!
You are university professor, historian of the modern Russia?
Of Russia, I have written on most periods of Russian history.
And so, on the sense of political modernisation, what do you think about
this School?
I think, first of all, that the School is probably wrongly named: I don’t
think it is a School of Political Studies.
Nor it is Moscow School actually: it’s all Russian, as you can see!
Assistants, “students” come from all over the Russia, all the provinces of
Russia; and that’s wonderful actually! And not only Russia, but also some of
the ex-Soviet republics. And until [???] from Croatia as well! So
